CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT-ELECT
Brenda Pinder is currently the Assistant Vice President of Nursing at the Einstein Campus at Montefiore Medical Center with direct responsibility for nursing practice, patient care and wellbeing of nursing staff. Brenda Pinder has over 35 years of nursing experience and the last 20 years of progressive nursing leadership in acute care. Brenda Pinder also has 5 years of experience as an Adjunct Faculty for Adelphi University. Throughout her leadership career she has a proven track record of improving clinical practice, patient safety, staff engagement and the patient experience. As a Team STEPPS master trainer she trained over 275 employees including physician and nursing leaders, as a result there was a change in culture in a prior organization. She believes in structural empowerment and transformational leadership. The majority of Brenda’s work as a leader is based on building strong collaborative relationships with other members of the interdisciplinary team. She is passionate about nursing excellence and devoted visionary leader. Brenda believes in the power of intentional relationships as the core of therapeutic relationships with patients and families. She is a strong advocate for the voice of the patient and family is critical to delivering high quality care.
